25 weeks

25 weeks from now, give or take a week or two, someone new will be coming into our lives.

I am pregnant. 15 weeks pregnant.

After multiple miscarriages, and being told that we had a 1% chance of ever conceiving a baby, even with treatments I'm pregnant. No treatments. Total and complete shock.

I think that extreme fatigue of the first trimester is a valid reason to avoid blogging.

I have a ton of emotions ranging from fear to elation. I worry for my two children that they won't transition well. I worry also about their emotions related to their adoptions and navigating those waters.

I do believe that a big part of my ability to get and maintain a pregnancy was finding out, by trial and error a diet that worked best for my body. I had recently lost quite a bit of weight because of my diet, and I believe this also factored into it.

But more than anything God chose to open my womb.

Congrats!

From what I have read, you are an awesome Mom and will transition your two little ones into wonderful older siblings!

Congratulations! We have friends who were told something similar. They made drastic dietary changes for other health reasons, and now, in addition to the three older adopted children, she has also birthed three children.

Congrats! I am so happy for you. God is good. :)
I have never met you, but you have opened my eyes to so much over the years. Thank you for that! I am a better mother because of it.

I am new to your blog and you and I have the same issues. I have PCOS and have had 4 miscarriages. I did change my diet to the South Beach Diet a couple of years ago and lost 20 lbs but still no baby. I have not been preg since 2008. I have since gained it back I do take Metformin and have for 3 years. So do you think your diet was a major factor? How do I find out if I need to be glutin free?
Thanks!
